On Sunday afternoon Skippack firefighters were dispatched to another field fire in Skippack started by stray embers. Using the Squad and Tanker the crews were able to extinguish the grass and logs that were burning, before it spread to the large adjoining fields. Please remember that we are at high risk of fires at least until the fields are full of new green growth. Please do not start fires outside during this time as a single stray ember can start a field fire that can extend to homes.
