Skippack firefighters were dispatched to a vehicle fire on Tuesday evening. Crews arrived to find the engine compartment fully involved, with the driver and passenger safely evacuated. There was also a grass fire extending from the vehicle. The crew, with the help of Perkiomen's duty crew, extinguished the fires and returned to service after approximately 40 min. After arriving at the station they repacked the hoses that were cleaned after the recent house fire, refilled air packs and cleaned the equipment used for the vehicle fire.
