July 24, 2022

After an earlier grass fire Skippack Crews were dispatched to a vehicle accident on Skippack Pike on Sunday afternoon that brought down a pole causing a brush fire that extended to a shed and tractor. Due to the risk of an expanding brush fire and the extreme heat, additional crews were needed. We would like to thank Worcester Volunteer Fire Department, Harleysville Community Fire Company, Perkiomen Township Fire Company, Towamencin Volunteer Fire Company, Skippack Emergency Medical Services and Lower Providence Community Center Ambulance Corps for their help.

During this incident Perkiomen, Worcester, Upper Gwynedd Fire Department and Hatfield Volunteer Fire Company responded to an additional woods/field fire in Skippack Township caused by a tree on power lines on Thompson Rd.
