Skippack Chimney Fire

Skippack Fire Company was dispatched for a residential structure fire Wednesday evening at 18:04. The call for service in the 4800 block of Garges Road in the township, reported a chimney fire with all occupants of the home evacuated. Chief 86 arrived on scene at 18:11 and established Command 86. Command confirmed a chimney fire at 18:14 and advised the Montgomery County Emergency Operations Center to hold on the working fire dispatch. The fire was placed under control at 18:48.

In addition to Chief 86, Skippack Fire Company crews included: the Deputy Chief, Ladder (with the Battalion), Squad and Tanker 86. Assisting Skippack Fire Company on scene were: Skippack Emergency Medical Services, Harleysville Fire Company and Lower Frederick Fire Company.

Skippack Fire Company crews returned available and the scene cleared at 19:35.
