Skippack Fire Company was dispatched today to assist Station 52 Lower Frederick Fire Company on a multi vehicle, vehicle-rescue in the 300 block of Big Road.

The initial call for service came in at 11:47 reporting a two vehicle crash. Police arriving on scene confirmed a crash with four vehicles involved, with entrapment in two.

Station 86 was dispatched at 11:51 and saw Chief, Deputy, Squad (with the Assistant), Special Service and Utility (with the Lieutenant) 86 respond on the assignment.

Squad 86 arrived on scene and stretched the front bumper line with a firefighter in self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) on standby in the event that one or more vehicles were to catch fire during the incident (fuel spill, etc.). Additional crew members worked to stabilize the two vehicles (with entrapment), assist with vehicle extrication and patient removal from each vehicle.

Numerous vehicle occupants were transported to local hospitals for treatment.
