Skippack firefighters began their morning at approximately 4 a.m. responding to a carbon monoxide alarm. The situation was resolved quickly, allowing the crew to return home after about 30 minutes.
Later, at around 7:30 a.m., firefighters responded to a vehicle rescue in Lower Salford near the intersection of Cressman Road and Harleysville Pike. Crews removed the driver’s side door and assisted with the safe removal of the patient from the vehicle.
At approximately 9:30 a.m., firefighters traveled to Pennsburg to stand by at the local fire station while most departments in the area were called to a major incident.
