Skippack fire company staffed its station with firefighter volunteers from 6 AM to 9 PM on Sunday. When the snow started to pile up, firefighters put chains on the trucks, ready to head out if needed. We are so grateful to the people who stepped in and helped feed us during our standby. It is a wonderful feeling to know how much you care!
Fortunately we had no calls as of Monday morning, and we are so grateful that everyone stayed safe during the storm. It is now time for clean up. We spotted many cleared hydrants, thank you for taking care of them for us. We need 3 feet of clearance on all sides of the hydrant and we don't want to be delayed by having to shovel when we need one.
