At 1:07 this morning Squad 86 responded to assist Towamencin Fire Company at a HazMat incident inside a self storage building. Crews from eight fire companies worked alongside the Montgomery County Hazardous Materials Response Team, who conducted air sampling inside the building while firefighters helped them access the storage units. Several members of the HazMat team are also Skippack firefighters. Once the investigation was complete and the building was ventilated, Skippack crews were released from the scene at 6:18 am. All equipment on Squad 86 was back in service around 7:00 am.
