Skippack firefighters practiced cutting roofs Thursday night at an acquired structure. Thank you to W.B. Homes for allowing us to have this valuable opportunity. Firefighters cut through the pitched roof, which had multiple layers of shingles over plywood decking on top of 1 inch lumber. These thick layers can be difficult to cut, but this is one of the realities that firefighters often find on scene. We were grateful for the cooler weather last night. Of course, when we got back to the station we also had a lot of clean up to do of our saws. Thank you to Joe from Servpro for dropping off water at our station as well!
