Skippack firefighters responded to two back-to-back accidents on Skippack Pike on Tuesday afternoon. The first was a three-car accident near Saddlebrook Farms at 5:15 PM where crews cleaned up debris and controlled heavy traffic. Just as that scene was wrapping up a second accident call came in at 5:37 PM, at the same spot as the Saturday night traffic accident at the new construction barriers on the western side of the bridge over Skippack Creek. At this single car accident crews again removed debris and controlled traffic so the car could be towed. Thank you for your patience as we needed to close the road temporarily to keep the scene safe for first responders and tow trucks. Please use caution at the Skippack Creek bridge as changing traffic patterns and construction are expected over the next two years.
