Skippack Fire Company was dispatched at 17:01 Tuesday for trees on fire behind a home in the 2000 block of Serendipity Way. Chief, Deputy, Engine 86-1 and 86 Fire Police responded on the box. Crews arrived on scene to find a homeowner had extinguished the bulk of the fire. Crews worked to search for hot spots and extinguish smoldering pine needles. Crews returned to the station within a half-hour. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
