Palmer International Fire

Members of Skippack Fire Company were dispatched to a fire in a large material bin at Palmer International just after 11 pm on Monday. Crews located the fire and entered the building where fire was burning in large vessel. Other crews accessed the fire from the roof while Skippack crews used an interior attack on the fire. Since the fire was inside of the vessel, the material needed to be removed by firefighters certified to drive fork lifts to ensure complete extinguishment. We appreciate the support of the local companies who came out to help us with this complicated fire including Harleysville Community Fire Company, Worcester Volunteer Fire Department, Upper Salford Volunteer Fire Company, Towamencin Volunteer Fire Company, Perkiomen Township Fire Company, Lower Frederick Fire Company, and Skippack Emergency Medical Services & Freedom Valley Medical Rescue for taking care of our well being during the extended operation. Crews returned to service around 2:45 am.
