This Monday evening SFC firefighters were dispatched to a chimney fire on Detweiler Rd. We were able to dismantle the chimney piping and extinguish the fire with minimal damage to the home. On Tuesday morning we were then dispatched to a building fire in Limerick on Swamp Pike. Firefighters were initially dispatched as RIT but were quickly put to work assisting with fire attack and search. Another crew assisted with tanker operations. This was followed by a house fire in Perkiomen just after midnight on Wednesday. Firefighters searched the house and assisted with extinguishing the fire. Our aerial ladder was deployed at the rear of the building for roof access and monitoring. On Thursday evening we had a team building activity in Escape rooms after a busy week. Both of our teams were able to escape without the need for axes and halligans!
