Members of Skippack Fire Company were busy yesterday starting just after lunch with a fire at Ott's Greenhouse in Lower Frederick where we assisted with water supply and as the rapid intervention team (RIT), standing by ready to rescue any firefighters in trouble. Then, just after 5 pm we were dispatched to a fully involved house fire in Lower Salford where we supplied water, fought fire and overhauled the structure putting out hot spots. After returning to our station around 9 pm we spent another hour and a half refilling SCBA cylinders and cleaning hoses, tools and gear.
