Heating Season is Here! Time to check your smoke and fire alarms

October 23, 2022

Did you know that smoke alarms have a 10-year lifetime and CO alarms have a 7-year lifetime?

Each month we respond to calls involving out-of-date detectors. This is a dangerous situation for homeowners since they no longer have these critical warning devices properly functioning in their homes. These devices truly save lives every year in Skippack when they are functioning properly.

CO and smoke alarms should be placed in a central location outside each sleeping area and on every level of the home, including the basement.

Smoke alarms should also be placed inside of each bedroom.
