2nd Alarm Assignment |

Skippack Fire Company was dispatched on the 2nd Alarm assignment to assist Station 66, Perkiomen Township Fire Company on a residential structure fire Saturday afternoon at 14:24. Crews were called to the 500 block of King Road in Perkiomen Township. The original call for service for Station 66 came at 14:19 reporting a house engulfed in flames. Reports stated one person was entrapped on the 2nd floor of the home. Units arriving on scene confirmed the entrapment and quickly went to work to locate the victim. Command 66 reported a collapse on side "C" of the structure at 14:32. Further reports stated the victim was extricated and the operation was going defensive at 14:37. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The bulk of the fire was knocked down with crews checking for extension at 15:05 and the fire declared under control at 15:12. Skippack Fire Crews assisting on scene included the Deputy Chief, Squad (with the Battalion Chief), Ladder (with the Lieutenant), Special Service (with the Assistant Chief and Captain) and Tanker 86. All Skippack Fire Crews returned available by 17:42. |
