Four Vehicle Crash In Skippack |

Skippack Fire Company was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident Saturday afternoon at 15:16. The Montgomery County Emergency Operations Center reported the crash at Old Forty Foot Road and Skippack Pike, with injuries. Chief 86 arrived on scene at 15:20 to find a four vehicle crash with three vehicles in the roadway at the intersection and a forth vehicle down the road in a parking area. Skippack Fire crews assisted with patient evaluation and packaging, hazard and traffic control. Skippack Emergency Medical Services responded with fire and rescue crews and transported one patient to a local hospital. SEMS Chief 336 requested three additional ambulances to the scene. Two of those crews transported patients also. The fourth EMS crew obtained a refusal on scene. In addition to the Chief, Skippack Fire crews included: Deputy Chief, Squad 86 ( with the Assistant Chief and Captain), Special Service and Utility 86. Crews operated on scene until 16:32. The Pennsylvania State Police are investigating the cause of the accident. |
