Congratulations to Skippack Firefighter Jake Rowland and all his sister and brother firefighters who graduated from the Firefighter 1, PA Entry Level Essentials program, last evening. The program and graduation ceremony was graciously hosted by the Limerick Fire Department. This class required upwards of 200 hours of training (classroom and hands on) per member, through Bucks County Community College, Department of Public Safety Training and Certificates. The class started prior to the COVID pandemic and was suspended just days prior to completion, with the governor’s “stay at home” order. As the state moved to the “green phase”, steps were put in place to safely resume and finish the class. Congratulations again to firefighter Rowland and all the graduates! Thank you to our friends at Limerick and Bucks for all your efforts too. Thank you all for your service. |
