Skippack Fire Company was dispatched to a fully engulfed barn/outbuilding fire in Upper Providence Sunday evening. The call was originally dispatched at 18:29 and quickly upgraded at 18:33 by command. Skippack Chief, Deputy and Battalion Chiefs responded with Rescue, Tanker and Utility 86. The Rescue originally responded as the RIT, but later as the operation shifted to a defensive fight, switched to fire attack and overhaul. The fire building of origin was destroyed, while two other buildings in close proximity sustained minor damage.
