Early Morning Crash

Skippack Fire Company responded to a one vehicle crash early Saturday morning. Crews were dispatched at 02:16 for a one car crash into a pole.

Deputy 86 arrived on scene and confirmed a single car crash into a pole and ending in the front yard of a home in the 1000 block of Collegeville Road. Squad 86 with the Battalion Chief and Lieutenant and Special Service 86 took in the crash.

The driver of the car was able to self extricate and was transported to a local hospital by Skippack Emergency Medical Services.

Skippack Fire crews handled debris cleanup and assisted the Pennsylvania State Police with traffic control. 

The scene was turned over to PECO at 03:15 and all units returned to station. A section of Collegeville Road between Cross and Lywiski Roads was closed for most of the morning for pole replacement and line repair by PECO.

PSP is investigating the cause of the crash.
