Three Calls Saturday

Skippack Fire company was dispatched for a possible fire alarm Saturday morning at 07:06. The call for service in the 4000 block of MacGregor Drive, brought Chief and Ladder 86 with the Battalion Chief to the scene. Chief 86 determined that the alarm was a septic/grinder pump alarm and no fire services were needed.

Crews were dispatched at 14:42 for a tree fire in the 4000 block of Perkiomen Creek Road. Skippack Fire was assisted by Perkiomen Fire Company and Upper Salford Volunteer Fire Company on the very large tree fire near the Central Perkiomen Valley Park.

Station 86 crews included: Chief, Battalion, Field, Squad, Tanker and the Utility. 

Crews operated on scene for approximately an hour and a half. The Pennsylvania State Police are investigating.

At 18:38 Skippack Fire crews were again dispatched for a fire assignment. Station 86 was called to assist Perkiomen Fire Company on a structure box in the 600 block of Gravel Pike.

Station 86 crews included: Chief, Deputy, Captain, Lieutenant, Ladder, Squad and Tanker.

Crews operated on scene for approximately an hour and a half.
