It is with deep regret we announce the passing of Past Chief Engineer John Rockwood. Past Chief Engineer Rockwood joined the Skippack Fire Company on September 14, 2009. In his almost 10 years with the Skippack Fire Company, he served the fire company and his passion for apparatus upkeep and maintenance. He served as fire company Chief Engineer in 2013 and Assistant Engineer from 2011 through 2012.

In his time with the Skippack Fire Company John responded to 415 calls for service. This call total currently ranks 76th in all-time responses, according to Skippack Fire Company records. John received the Skippack Fire Company Chief’s Award in 2010 and Engineer’s Award in 2012.

Relatives and friends may call Saturday September 7, 2019 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Anton B. Urban Funeral Home, 1111 S. Bethlehem Pike, Ambler, with a Memorial Service at 11:00 AM. Interment will be private.
