Water Rescues Halt Housing

By Battalion Chief Keith Grierson

Skippack Fire Company reminds you not to drive in flooded roadways.

Skippack Fire crews responded to five water rescue calls Thursday evening and early Friday morning, as the Housing of Squad and Ladder 86 can to an abrupt finish. Crews also assisted with the evacuation of numerous homes on Skippack Pike threatened by rising flood waters.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.

Ladder 86 also responded tonight on its first run, assisting on a water rescue job in Perkiomen. Check make for more information and pictures from today’s Housing. Thank you to all those who came out.
