The Skippack Fire Company was busy last night with our weekly training session this week being held at the Montgomery County Fire Academy, for a helicopter landing zone class. Approximately an hour and a half after returning to the station, crews were dispatched as the RIT on a working residential structure box in Upper Providence Township.

Skippack crews were dispatched at 22:31 to assist Station 98 Royersford Fire Department on the confirmed fire in the 600 block of 5th Avenue in Upper Providence. Chief and Rescue (with the Deputy and Battalion Chiefs) 86 took in the job.

The initial call came in for Station 98 at 22:25 as smoke in the living room and crawl space. Chief 98 arrived on scene at 22:28 established command and declared a working fire shortly after. The bulk of the fire was knocked down by 22:51.

Skippack crews returned to the station at 23:13.
