Skippack Fire Company was dispatched for an automatic fire alarm Wednesday afternoon at 15:39 at Palmer International, Lucon Road. Chief 86 arrived on scene at 15:43 and requested the box be upgraded to a structure assignment.

The upgrade brought Harleysville Fire Company and Fire Police, Worcester Fire Department and Skippack Emergency Medical Services to the scene.

Skippack crews included; Chief and Deputy Chief 86, Engine, Tanker (with the Battalion Chief), Rescue (with the Assistant Chief) and Utility 86.

Crews located a fire confined to a piece of machinery within the plant. Crews worked to extinguish the fire and check for extension. The fire had extended into part of the machines piping process, but did not extend to the building.

All crews were made available by 16:58.
