The Skippack Fire Company said goodbye to the first automatic transmission, diesel engine in fleet last week. As we prepare to make way for the Squad arriving next year, the 1981 Hahn Engine was sold.

The individual purchasing Engine 86-1 plans a restoration project with his father on the piece of Skippack Fire Company history.

As the narrative stated on our web-site: Engine 86-1 has a 1500 gallon per minute pump and carries 750 gallons of water. It carried a full complement of fire fighting equipment including 1500 feet of 5 inch hose, fans, saws, portable lights, foam and ladders.

Thank you for a memorable 35+ years, serving the residents of Skippack Township and surrounding communities.
