Rope Rescue Training

First, thank you to Moyer's Services Group for the just-in-time donation of water, which we put to use at training on Thursday night.

We wrapped up our rope rescue training Thursday night with a realistic scenario: a hiker suffered a medical event while walking in the township park/trail system and fell down a steep embankment in Lenape Park. Crews quickly established clear areas of responsibility, including patient location, securing the scene, medical care and packaging, safety belay team, and the haul system team.

Using the What3Words location, the team efficiently located the patient, provided care, and successfully rescued them from the embankment. A big thank you to our Training Officers for putting together such an interesting and engaging scenario.

As always, cleanup and equipment reset followed — and many hands definitely made light work!
