Skippack firefighters don't stop in cold weather. Since our last report of the fire in Upper Providence we have responded to 2 chimney fires, an electrical issue, 3 accidents with injuries (2 at the same time on opposite ends of the township) and a barn fire on Heebner Rd in Worcester, which is pictured here. Not only do crews face cold weather, but any spilled water becomes instant ice. Speaking of ice, this morning a crew practiced ice rescue skills with Worcester Volunteer Fire Company at a local pond.
