Skippack Fire Company was dispatched to a two vehicle motor vehicle accident early Friday morning. The call came in at 06:52 for the intersection of Plank Road and Skippack Pike.

Chief and Assistant 86 responded along with Squad ( with the Battalion) and Special Service ( with the Captain and Lieutenant ) 86.

Crews arrived on scene to find a two vehicle head on crash involving a tri-axle dump truck and midsize SUV. Both drivers self-extricated prior to the fire companies arrival. Crews assisted with hazard control and traffic. Skippack Emergency Medical Services transported one driver to a local hospital for evaluation.

The Pennsylvania State Police are investigating the cause of the accident. All Skippack Fire Company crews returned available at 07:31.
