Valley Forge Beef and Ale, a bar/restaurant which has been known by many other names in its history was heavily damaged by a fire which is believed to have started in the basement. Skippack Fire Co. responded to the call at 827 South Trooper Rd. and assisted the Lower Providence Fire Co. as part of an eight company effort to fight the fire which burned through the many false walls and ceilings and eventually through the roof. Skippack Fire Co. assisted at the scene for well over five hours. Thanks to Harleysville Station 89 for standing by in our station for the afternoon.
