Skippack Fire Company welcomed back firefighter Bob Sparks to running calls this past week. After several years of being unable to ride the trucks, Sparks is back in gear. Sparks responded to his first alarm back on Thursday night for a commercial building fire in Upper Providence. Chief, Deputy and Rescue 86 responded to the Dow Chemical research facility on Arcola Road. Crews were dispatched as the RIT at 18:27. All Skippack crews returned to station at 20:03. Sparks has previously served as Skippack Fire Company Battalion Chief from 1997-2001 and Assistant Chief in 2003. Jeanette Sparks, Bob's wife is also active in the fire company and served as the company Secretary from 2000-2009. Welcome back Bob!
