Skippack firefighters were busy this weekend out in the community and training.

Firefighters took part in the annual Creamery Tire customer appreciation day on Saturday, explaining the roles and equipment we use and also looking for new members.

On Sunday, crews with Engine 86 took part in a Large Diameter Hose Exercise hosted by the Norristown Fire Department and other mutual aid partners.

Crews also responded to a two vehicle crash early Sunday morning at 09:02 in the intersection of Skippack Pike and Old Forty Foot Road. The Assistant Chief and Rescue 86 took in the assignment. Assistant 86 arrived on scene and determined no fire company services were needed on scene.
