Skippack Fire Company was dispatched to assist Station 83 Worcester Fire Company on a working structure fire Tuesday afternoon. Station 83 was originally dispatched at 16:52 for a fire on the 3rd floor of an apartment building on the 3000 block of Germantown Road in Worcester. A working fire was declared with reports of smoke and flames from the 3rd floor windows with Skippack units requested at 16:56.

Skippack Fire Company responding units included the Deputy and Assistant Chiefs, Rescue (with the Battalion), Engine 86-1 and the Utility. The fire was declared under control by Command 83 at 17:17. While Skippack crews were on scene of the fire a second call for service was received. This incident was within Skippack Township on Mensch Road near the intersection of Skippack Pike. Crews were dispatched to the motor vehicle accident at 17:29 involving a car vs a motorcycle.

Engine and Fire Police 86 responded on the assignment as well as crews picking up from the fire in area 83. Station 66, Perkiomen Township Fire Company assisted on a landing zone setup behind the Skippack Fire Company building for Skippack Emergency Medical Services and the inbound JeffSTAT helicopter.

One patient was transported via JeffSTAT to a local hospital. All 86 and 66 units were available by 18:26.
